India, Oct. 6 -- Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Sunday laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 5.5 crore in the Pankha Road area. The redevelopment plan includes construction of new RCC drains, toe walls with grit plaster and iron grills, pavements, and installation of streetlights on both sides of the road. Landscaping, greenery and beautification of service lanes and adjoining stretches are also part of the project.
Sood said the initiative aims to end years of neglect that left Janakpuri residents struggling with open drains, potholes, and poor civic infrastructure.
