Six dead as heavy rains hit Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
India, Aug. 5 -- At least six people, including two women and four children, have died in rain-related incidents in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province since July 29, says officials. Torrential rain and flash floods have caused widespread damage across several districts, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said. Six others were injured in the incidents.
The PDMA said 65 houses were damaged, including 24 that were completely destroyed and 41 that suffered partial damage.
The affected districts include Abbottabad, Swat, Buner, Khyber, Lower Chitral, Lower Dir, Mansehra, Mardan, Peshawar, Shangla, Swabi, Upper Dir and Upper Kohistan.
