Sirsa directs district magistrates to identify pollution hotspots
India, June 26 -- Stepping up efforts to tackle pollution in the national Capital, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Thursday directed the district magistrates to identify hotspots and submit periodic progress reports. He also ordered them to attend review meetings to monitor the implementation of action points and ensure time-bound outcomes.
These were some of the main takeaways from his comprehensive review meeting with all the district magistrates to formulate a coordinated district-level strategy for mitigating pollution and strengthening environmental governance across the Capital.
