India, Oct. 31 -- Even as a second person committed suicide and a third attempted self-annihilation in the past 72 hours wondering whether they would lose citizenship during special intensive revision of electoral rolls (SIR) Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday launched a scathing attack against BJP for unleashing a "politics of fear" and assured the people that she would do everything possible to secure their rights and citizenship.
"Within 72 hours of the Election Commission's announcement of the SIR exercise in Bengal - an exercise bulldozed through at the BJP's behest - one avoidable tragedy after another has occurred," Banerjee wrote on the Xasking, "Who will answer for these avoidable, politically inflicted tragedies?...
