Sikkim lifts odd-even rule across state, Gangtok excluded from relaxation
India, May 31 -- The Sikkim government has withdrawn the odd-even restriction on private vehicles across all districts of the state with immediate effect, bringing relief to residents after weeks of fuel conservation measures.
However, the relaxation will not apply to Gangtok town, where the existing odd-even traffic regulation will continue.
The decision was taken after the state reviewed fuel availability and confirmed that sufficient buffer stocks of petrol and diesel had been secured.
According to a Home Department notification, restrictions on government vehicles imposed earlier will remain in force until further orders.
