India, Sept. 10 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, launched a cordon-and-search operation (CASO) in Srinagar's Batamaloo area on Thursday as part of routine security measures, officials said.

Joint teams cordoned off parts of the locality and conducted searches at multiple points to check for suspicious activity and strengthen the security grid in the area.

No arrests, recoveries or exchange of fire have been reported so far.

Security forces periodically conduct such operations across Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir Valley to verify identities, check movement and prevent potential security threats.
