India, Oct. 6 -- Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Chairman and Managing Director Dr. A.K. Panda highlighted the company's strong performance in the first half of FY27, with multiple best-ever milestones in production, sales, operational efficiency and financial discipline.

SAIL achieved its highest-ever H1 production of 10.2 MT hot metal, 9.6 MT crude steel and 8.39 MT finished steel, while high-end steel production reached around 2 MT, registering 30% growth over the corresponding period last year. The company also recorded its best-ever H1 iron ore production and sales performance.
