Rudra Gaurav Shresth appointed India's next Ambassador to Turkiye
India, June 12 -- The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has appointed senior Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Rudra Gaurav Shresth as India's next Ambassador to the Republic of Turkiye. Shresth, a 1999-batch IFS officer, is currently serving as India's Ambassador to Iran and is expected to assume his new assignment shortly.
A seasoned diplomat, Shresth took charge as India's Ambassador to Iran in May 2023 and has held several key diplomatic assignments during his career. Prior to his posting in Tehran, he served on deputation in the Prime Minister's Office and earlier held the position of India's High Commissioner to Mozambique from 2016 to 2019.
