India, Oct. 24 -- In a major operation in the early hours of Thursday, four most-wanted gangsters of self-styled Sigma & Company gang - involved in multiple cases of extortion-cum-murder in Bihar - were killed in a shootout with a joint team of the Delhi Police and the Bihar Police in northwest Delhi.

The gangsters were identified as Ranjan Pathak (25), Bimlesh Mahto (25), Manish Pathak (33), and Aman Thakur (21). The gangsters were from Ranjan Pathak gang.

According to police, the encounter took place around 2.20am between Dr Ambedkar Chowk and Pansali Chowk on Bahadur Shah Marg in Rohini, after a police team tried to intercept the suspects following a tip-off about their movements. Five pistols were recovered from them.
