India, April 12 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday addressed public meetings in Raniganj and Galsi in West Bengal, campaigning in support of BJP candidates. She said the large turnout at both rallies clearly indicated that people in the State have made up their minds to move on from what she described as corruption, appeasement and lawlessness under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee.
Taking a swipe at the ruling dispensation, the chief minister said it was ironic that a State which gave the country the national anthem and 'Vande Mataram' was now "reduced to a system of cut-money and syndicates".
