India, May 27 -- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday demanded an independent judicial inquiry and a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the alleged irregularities surrounding the CBSE On-Screen Marking (OSM) system.

Calling it a "massive scam", Gandhi alleged that the CBSE examination results had left lakhs of students and parents shocked due to discrepancies in marks and answer sheet issues.

In a post on X, the Leader of Opposition questioned why the contract for the OSM system was awarded to COEMPT, a company he claimed was previously involved in controversies under the name Globarena in Telangana in 2019.
