India, July 6 -- 1 person died and 2 others are feared trapped after a rain-triggered landslide buried a house in Maharashtra's Pune district on Monday, as incessant monsoon showers continued to wreak havoc across the region. The incident occurred in Patan village of Maval taluka, where heavy rainfall caused a section of a hill to collapse onto the residential structure.

Officials said rescue teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), local police, the fire brigade and district administration rushed to the spot soon after receiving information about the landslide.
