India, May 21 -- Hamza Burhan, identified in reports as one of the alleged masterminds behind the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, was reportedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

According to reports, no organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack and the exact circumstances surrounding the killing remain unclear.

Hamza Burhan was allegedly linked to the planning and logistics behind the Pulwama terror attack, one of the deadliest attacks on Indian security personnel in recent years.

The February 2019 attack targeted a CRPF convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar highway and resulted in the deaths of more than 40 personnel.
