India, Oct. 9 -- The Delhi Mayor, Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh, has appealed to all property owners to take advantage of the Property Tax Amnesty Scheme 2025-26, which has now been extended till December 31, 2025. The Sumpattikar Niptaan Yojana (Suniyo) scheme offers taxpayers a rare opportunity to clear old property tax dues without penalties or interest.
Under the scheme, taxpayers can obtain a waiver on property tax, interest, and penalties for periods prior to the FY 2020-21. To avail of the benefit, property owners need to pay the principal amount of property tax for the current financial year (2025-26) and the previous five years from 2020-25 .
