India, April 16 -- Delhi Lt Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Wednesday emphasised that sustained priority must be given to effective garbage management, timely road repairs, dust mitigation, and swift resolution of issues flagged by citizens and the media.

Giving this direction while reviewing the status and progress of key initiatives and ongoing works undertaken by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), he also advised the civic body NDMC to remain open and responsive to feedback in a constructive manner. Sandhu also urged it to bridge the gap between on-ground realities and service delivery expectations-an essential prerequisite for achieving citizen-centric governance.
