India, Sept. 21 -- President Droupadi Murmu performed "Pind Daan" to propitiate souls of her ancestors at historic Vishnupad temple in Gaya district of Bihar on Saturday.
The President, along with her close relatives, arrived at Gaya airport, where she was received by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and senior officials of the State government including Gaya's DM Sudhanshu Subhankar, SSP Anand Kumar and other senior officials.
After her arrival, she went straight by road to Vishnupad temple amid tight security arrangements.
Governor AM Khan also accompanied Murmu to Vishnupad temple.
