India, Oct. 12 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the youth are the future of a developed India and the present era belongs to them. These remarks came for the first time against the backdrop of the current spate of protests in some parts of the country, including the national Capital.

Making these assertions, Modi said, "This is your time and your opportunity," adding that he sees the nation's future directly reflected in them.

Emphasising that the global community is actively searching for innovative answers, the Prime Minister told the young minds that the present era belonged to them, as the world looked to them for solutions.
