Police dog helps crack blind rape case in Sambhal, traces scent trail to key leads
India, June 24 -- A specially trained police sniffer dog has played a crucial role in solving a blind rape case in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district, where investigators initially had no CCTV footage or eyewitnesses to guide the probe.
According to police officials, the incident was reported from the Babrala area of Sambhal, following which multiple teams were deployed to investigate the case. With limited forensic and technical evidence available at the scene, investigators decided to bring in a canine unit to assist in tracing possible leads.
