PM Modi urges States to resolve water disputes through cooperation
India, May 28 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged states to resolve inter-state water disputes through cooperation, timely clearances and technology-based monitoring, saying the Ken-Betwa river-linking project should serve as a model for the country.
Chairing the 51st PRAGATI meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed seven major infrastructure projects worth around Rs 30,000 crore across the railways, power and road sectors spanning nine states.
During the review of the Ken-Betwa river inter-linking project, Modi stressed the importance of mission-mode execution and coordinated efforts between states and agencies.
