India, April 26 -- The Ganga Expressway project, being considered a major infrastructure transformation in Uttar Pradesh, is all set to be opened to the public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 29. Sources said a few more projects, including that of railways and flagging of trains from Ayodhya and Varanasi, are also on the cards as the State prepares in advance for the next year's crucial Assembly polls.

With an estimated cost of around Rs 37,000 crore, the Ganga Expressway project was divided into four major packages (groups) to ensure rapid progress.
