India, March 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two new corridors of the Delhi Metro and lay the foundation stone for three additional Metro corridors in the national capital on March 8. These new metro corridors will significantly expand the city's public transport network.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the new Metro projects will improve connectivity across residential and commercial areas while strengthening clean and efficient public transport in the city. She said the expansion will help reduce pressure from private vehicles on roads and contribute to controlling pollution in the Capital.
