India, March 3 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated two major transmission infrastructure projects in Rajasthan, developed by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) with a combined investment exceeding Rs 3,600 crore.

The projects, executed by the Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power, are designed to facilitate the large-scale evacuation of renewable energy from Rajasthan's Renewable Energy Zones (REZ).

The first project, part of the Phase-III Part-B1 scheme for evacuating 20 GW of power, includes the 765/400/220 kV Bhadla-III substation and a 765 kV double-circuit transmission line connecting Bhadla-III to Sikar-II.
