India, April 28 -- PM Narendra Modi inaugurated six state-of-the-art indoor cricket academies across North-East India, marking a major push to strengthen sports infrastructure in the region.
The facilities, developed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India were virtually launched during an event in Gangtok.The academies are located in Rangpo, Doimukh, Imphal, Madankurklang, Aizawl and Dimapur.
The initiative aims to create a high-performance cricketing ecosystem across the North-East, ensuring access to modern training infrastructure for aspiring players in the region.
The inauguration was attended by Jay Shah along with BCCI officials and administrators from various North-Eastern states.
