India, July 7 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with Indonesia's highest civilian honour, the 'Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia', during his official visit to Jakarta.

The prestigious award was presented by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, recognising Modi's contribution to strengthening bilateral ties and fostering cooperation between India and Indonesia.

Expressing gratitude after receiving the honour, Prime Minister Modi said the award belongs to the people of both nations and reflects the enduring friendship between India and Indonesia.
