India, Aug. 7 -- Pakistan's security forces killed 10 suspected terrorists in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military's media wing said on Friday, Aug 7.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), eight militants were killed after they attempted to attack security checkposts in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan on Thursday. Two more were killed in a separate operation in Upper Dir district.

The military said weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who it alleged were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

Pakistan's government refers to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as Fitna al Khawarij.
