India, May 9 -- Pakistan security forces killed 5 terrorists during separate intelligence-based operations in the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said.

According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army, the operations were carried out in the Tank and Dera Ismail Khan districts on May 7 and 8 following intelligence inputs regarding militant activity.

4 terrorists linked to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan were killed during an operation in the Tank district after an exchange of fire with security personnel.

In a separate operation conducted in Dera Ismail Khan, another TTP militant was killed during a military engagement with security forces.
