India, May 24 -- OpenAI is reportedly offering a salary of up to $445,000 (around Rs 3.7 crore) for an AI safety researcher role as the company strengthens efforts to prepare for future risks linked to advanced artificial intelligence systems.

The position is part of OpenAI's Preparedness team, which focuses on identifying and reducing potential threats from highly capable AI models.
