India, Oct. 6 -- The Delhi Government has declared a public holiday for all its offices on Tuesday, October 7, to mark the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will participate in various programmes, processions, and tribute meetings organised across the capital. These events will remember the life and contributions of the ancient sage and poet. To lead the tributes, the Delhi Government is hosting a special programme on Monday, October 6, at the Delhi Secretariat. The event is being organised under the aegis of the Department of Social Welfare. It will feature discussions on the life, personality, and teachings of Maharishi Valmiki.
