India, May 7 -- Actor Nora Fatehi appeared before the National Commission for Women on Thursday in connection with the controversy surrounding the song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke from the Kannada film KD The Devil.

The Hindi version of the song, featuring Fatehi and actor Sanjay Dutt, had sparked criticism after its release on YouTube in March over allegedly sexually explicit lyrics. Following public backlash, the makers removed the Hindi version from the platform, although the track continued circulating online.

Speaking to reporters after appearing before the Commission, Fatehi said there was no intention to offend anyone and acknowledged the responsibility that comes with being an artist.
