India, Sept. 6 -- In a landmark achievement for Indian mountaineering, the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), based in Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh, has scripted history by successfully summiting 20 unclimbed peaks above 6,000 metres in Ladakh. The elite expedition team accomplished the extraordinary feat of recording 20 first-ever summits in just 23 days.

Under the leadership of Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal, Director, NIMAS, the institute has secured its third consecutive world record in three years. The expedition underscores the institution's capability to execute technically demanding assignments across some of the most remote and hazardous Himalayan terrains.
