NDMC removes 60 metric tonnes of waste from Jantar Mantar
India, July 27 -- The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) deployed over 500 officers and employees in an overnight operation at Jantar Mantar and surrounding areas immediately after the CJP protest concluded.
The corporation removes approximately 60 metric tonnes of waste, repainting walls from which protest graffiti had been removed, repairing damaged kerbstones, restoring green belts, and cleaning Tolstoy Road, Sansad Marg, Jai Singh Road, Janpath, and adjoining areas of Connaught Place, with NDMC Vice Chairperson Kuljeet Singh Chahal personally supervising the work through the night and revisiting the site in the afternoon to review the completed restoration.
