India, Nov. 16 -- The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Rajasthan Police have busted a clandestine lab at a remote village in Sirohi district of the State, believed to be used to manufacture Mephedrone, a synthetic stimulant and psychotropic drug. Chemicals weighing hundreds of kilograms have been seized, which were sufficient to manufacture about 100 kg of Mephedrone, with an estimated market value of Rs 40 crore, an official release said.
The alleged mastermind of the racket and four others have been arrested, it said. Mephedrone is being increasingly used as a psychotropic drug in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, the officials said.
