India, Nov. 8 -- The National Zoological Park (NZP) would be reopening for visitors with effect from 8.11.2025. The Delhi Zoo informed that usual safety and preventive measures shall be followed after its re-opening for visitors. The NZP was closed for visitors w.e.f. 30.08.2025, after the report of a positive case of avian influenza virus in water waterbird aviary on 28.08.2025. All prescribed biosafety and surveillance guidelines issued by the competent authorities were followed thereafter. Guidelines under chapter 6 of 'Action taken for preparedness, control and containment of Avian Influenza (revised 2021)' issued by the Union Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying were strictly followed during the closure period.
