India, Oct. 13 -- The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested a 32-year-old proclaimed offender, a highly educated man with an M.Phil in Chemistry from Delhi University.
He was underground since he committed two armed robberies at jewellery shops in Model Town. The accused, identified as Deep Shubham, was arrested in Sohna, Haryana, following a coordinated operation by Western Range-II police officials.
Police said the accused is a native of Sitamarhi district in Bihar. He was previously convicted in a sensational bank robbery in Pupri, Bihar, where he used his chemistry knowledge to create a smoke bomb to execute the heist.
