India, July 19 -- The southwest monsoon is set to become active over Delhi once again, bringing relief from hot and humid conditions, while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across several Himalayan states over the next few days.

According to the IMD, Delhi is likely to witness light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms as monsoon activity revives over northwest India. The change in weather is expected to reduce temperatures and provide respite after days of sultry conditions.
