India, March 16 -- Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday warned of strict action against those spreading rumours about a potential LPG shortage, saying that such misinformation was creating unnecessary panic among people.
Speaking at an event at Apna Ghar Ashram in Budhpur, the chief minister said both the Centre and the Delhi Government are closely monitoring the situation, and there was no reason for citizens to panic. She said certain elements were attempting to create fear and encourage hoarding by spreading misleading information, which she described as being against the national interest.
