India, Oct. 19 -- A massive fire broke out at the multi-storey Brahmaputra Apartments on BD Marg in Delhi on Saturday. The building, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2020, houses several Rajya Sabha MPs. No casualties have been reported so far, a Delhi Fire Services official said. However, some residents have claimed that a few children were injured in the incident and taken to RML Hospital.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. Located barely 200 metres from the Parliament, the Brahmaputra Apartments are one of the official residences allotted to Members of Parliament.
