India, Aug. 11 -- The cabinet of Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh on Tuesday decided to make a recommendation to the governor to summon a session of the state Assembly, an official statement said.

The decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by the chief minister.

The state cabinet decided September 2 as the date for making the recommendation to the governor to summon the eighth session of the 12th Manipur Assembly, it said.

The seventh assembly session was adjourned sine die on March 18 this year.

The cabinet also approved enhancements of cash incentives for Commonwealth Games medallists from the state, it said.
