India, Oct. 31 -- A 15-year-old Class 10 student was left critically injured after a 21-year-old man allegedly stormed her classroom with a power chainsaw and attacked her at a government school in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district on Saturday. Another girl student was also injured while attempting to intervene.

The incident took place at the Zilla Parishad High School in Raptadu mandal when a class was underway. According to reports, the accused entered the classroom carrying a mechanised saw and attacked the student in the presence of a teacher. The assault triggered panic, with students fleeing the classroom and several witnesses reportedly breaking down.
