India, Oct. 7 -- A man was allegedly shot dead by his cousin over a dispute regarding removal of a dog's carcass, a senior police official confirmed on Monday. According to Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi, the incident took place late on Sunday night in the Badoojai locality under Sadar Bazar police station.
The victim, Pramod Saxena (45), was shot dead on the spot by his cousin, Vivek Saxena, using an illegal firearm.
As per the victim's family, a dog was run over by Vivek's car three days before the incident.
When his uncle asked him to remove dog's carcass, Vivek refused which led to a minor argument between family members.
