India, June 29 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha after being re-elected from Karnataka, marking the beginning of his second consecutive term in the Upper House.

The oath was administered by Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman C.P. Radhakrishnan in his chamber at Parliament House. Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were present during the ceremony.
