India, Sept. 15 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Monday called for a systematic and humane approach to managing stray cattle to keep roads and public spaces free of the hazards posed by them without compromising their welfare. Sandhu also directed the officials concerned to take strict and time-bound action against illegal and unauthorised constructions in the Capital, an official statement said.

Reviewing municipal priorities across Delhi with MCD Commissioner Sanjeev Khirwar, Sandhu directed that action against illegal and unauthorised constructions be stepped up so that such activities do not go unchecked or become a norm across the city.
