Landslide buries homes in China's Chongqing, rescue teams search for trapped residents
India, July 17 -- A landslide triggered by heavy rainfall struck Pengshui County in southwest China's Chongqing municipality on Friday, burying more than 10 residential buildings and leaving several people trapped under debris.
Emergency rescue teams were immediately deployed to the affected area, where search operations are continuing to locate and rescue survivors. Authorities said at least nine people had been rescued, while the exact number of those still trapped remains unclear.
