India, Oct. 18 -- The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday notified a judicial inquiry into the circumstances leading to the serious law and order situation, the police action and the resultant unfortunate death of the four individuals in Ladakh. The inquiry will be conducted by Justice BS Chauhan (former Judge, Supreme Court of India).
The move comes as an attempt to break the impasse ahead of initiating a fresh dialogue with the representatives of the Apex Body Leh (ABL) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA). The MHA has also expressed its desire to start a fresh round of dialogue with local representative bodies to achieve the desired results in the near future.
