India, Oct. 5 -- Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah distributed 2,298 machines and toolkits to artisans at the 'Khadi Karigar Mahotsav' in Rohtak.
During the event, projects worth Rs 33.66 crore for the Khadi sector were inaugurated and foundation stones laid online.
Margin money subsidy of Rs 301 crore and 8,310 new PMEGP units worth Rs 741.16 crore were launched online.
Amit Shah appealed to one and all that every family should purchase Khadi worth Rs 5,000 annually, which will directly benefit the artisans.
