India, May 26 -- Keralam Chief Minister VD Satheesan held his first official meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday, marking an important early interaction between the newly formed state government and the Union government.

The meeting comes shortly after Satheesan assumed office as Chief Minister following the formation of the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government in Kerala. It is his first formal engagement with the Prime Minister after taking charge of the state administration.
