India, June 4 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Thursday announced that the state government will set up a separate secretariat to address public grievances and demands from citizens across the state. The proposed facility will have a dedicated minister to interact with people visiting Bengaluru with complaints, requests, or issues requiring government intervention.

Speaking after a meeting with senior bureaucrats and police officials, Shivakumar said the new mechanism would help streamline grievance redressal and ensure that concerns raised through protests, agitations, or direct representations are properly heard and addressed.
