India, Oct. 11 -- In a pioneering step toward gender-sensitive governance and workplace equity, the Karnataka Government has officially announced the implementation of 12 days of Paid Period Leave annually for working women.
This bold and progressive policy places Karnataka at the forefront of menstrual rights advocacy in India, drawing direct inspiration from Ranjeeta Priyadarshini, the founder of the Paid Period Leave movement.
The announcement, made today in Bengaluru, is the result of two years of sustained advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and political engagement by Ranjeeta Priyadarshini.
