India, Sept. 24 -- When police arrived at the residence in Jamui to apprehend Nandan Yadav, a suspect involved in a viral video depicting the assault of a minor girl following a roadside altercation, they inadvertently reopened a case involving a double homicide from 23 years prior. Nandan Yadav, a resident of Pratappur village, was detained after being shot in the leg while attempting to escape. He is accused of confronting two Class 10 students on a scooter near Jamui's hilly outskirts on 19 September, during which he assaulted the boy and molested the girl.

Five individuals have been apprehended in connection with this case, and two minors have been detained.
