India, Aug. 8 -- Joint Commissioner of Police Veenu Bansal is no longer serving as Joint CP (Security) at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The 2004-batch IPS officer from the AGMUT cadre has now been posted to Delhi Police Headquarters. This change took effect immediately after an order was issued late on August 5, 2026, by Joint CP SK Jain, Officer on Special Duty to the Delhi Police Commissioner.

Bansal is from Punjab and has a B.Tech degree. Before joining the Indian Police Service, he worked briefly at ONGC. He became responsible for security at the President's Estate in October 2024, a job that requires working with different agencies to handle security and ceremonial duties for the President of India.
